Amrita Yoga

Amrita Yoga was developed under the guidance of Mata Amritanandamayi, also known as Amma, and her spiritual teachings form its foundation.

Amma says: ‘Only in the state of love will the beautiful, fragrant flower of freedom and supreme bliss unfold its petals and bloom‘.

The practice of Amrita Yoga helps us to experience and expand this love, gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and develop inner strength. Thus we are prepared to face the challenges of life with more stability, awareness and equipoise. ‘Equanimity of mind is Yoga’, says the Bhagavad Gita (2:48).

Classes are offered for men and women, at the foundational, beginning and intermediate levels. To find out more about Amrita Yoga, please visit e.amritapuri.org/yoga
